  • HMG - Lyophilized Human Menopausal Gonadotropin

We are having increasing difficulty in obtaining HMG, due to regulatory controls surrounding its production and exporting. Thus, from time to time, we may go out of stock, although our suppliers reassure us that they can still provide it to us. So, if you find that it is out of stock, please check back regularly or email us to check availability.

    HMG profile:

Gonadotropins are protein hormones secreted by gonadotrope cells of the anterior pituitary of vertebrates. This is a family of proteins, which include the mammalian hormones Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), Luteinizing hormone (LH), placental chorionic gonadotropins hCG and eCG and chorionic gonadotropin (CG). These hormones are central to the complex endocrine system that regulates normal growth, sexual development, and reproductive function. The hormones LH and FSH are secreted by the anterior pituitary gland, while hCG and eCG are secreted by the placenta.

    Synonyms:

HMG, Human Menopausal Gonadotropin, Gonadototropins, LH/FSH.

    Physical Appearance:

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

    Specificity:

The amino acid sequence and tertiary structure of the LH/FSH is identical to naturally produced LH/FSH. Therefore, LH/FSH has an affinity to LH and FSH receptors

    Solubility:

Add 1 ml of sterile diluent and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely.

    Usage:

Product is prepared for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used for other purposes.
