SNAP-8 peptide is a synthetic hexapeptide that has been widely studied for its anti-aging properties, particularly in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
One of the earliest studies on SNAP-8 peptide was published in 2002 by Lintner and colleagues [1], who demonstrated that this peptide has anti-wrinkle activity. They found that SNAP-8 acts by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters that are involved in muscle contraction, thereby reducing the tension of facial muscles and preventing the formation of wrinkles.
In subsequent studies, researchers have further investigated the effects of SNAP-8 peptide on wrinkle reduction and skin texture improvement. For example, a double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted in 2018 by Liu and colleagues [3] found that a topical application of SNAP-8 peptide significantly improved skin texture and reduced wrinkle formation in Chinese subjects.
Another study published in 2020 by Zhang and colleagues [2] evaluated the efficacy and safety of a facial cream containing SNAP-8 and other active compounds in the treatment of facial wrinkles. The researchers found that the cream significantly reduced the appearance of wrinkles and improved skin hydration and elasticity, with no adverse effects reported.
In addition to its anti-wrinkle properties, researchers have also investigated other potential benefits of SNAP-8 peptide. For instance, a study published in 2017 by Kim and colleagues [4] found that SNAP-8 peptide can inhibit muscle contraction, which may have applications in the treatment of muscle-related disorders.
Overall, the research on SNAP-8 peptide suggests that it has promising anti-aging properties, particularly in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. However, further studies are needed to fully understand its mechanisms of action and potential applications in cosmetic and medical settings.
Stability:
Store lyophilized protein at -20 °C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4 °C for a limited period of time. The lyophilized protein remains stable until the expiry date when stored at -20 °C.
